“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 ESV
I think we can all agree that there is trouble in the world. Locally, nationally, and globally-trouble is all around us. Sometimes it can be easy to focus on all of the trials and tribulations that are taking place around us, even in our very homes. But God does not promise us a life free from struggle. In fact, He guarantees that we will have trouble in this world, but we can be encouraged by knowing that Jesus has overcome the world and in Him, we find our peace and strength. When everything feels overwhelming and out of control, remember that Jesus has already secured the victory. Our hope is not rooted in the circumstances we face, but in the unchanging truth that Christ has conquered all. Though the storms of life may rage, we have an anchor that keeps us steady—a Savior who walks with us through every valley and lifts us up when we are weary. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, and rest in His promise that He is with us always. So take heart, Sonrise family; in Him, we have peace that surpasses all understanding, and a hope that cannot be shaken.
