graduation

Dear Sonrise Family,

Every year when I am asked to write our last message for the Eagle Express, my first reaction is that it can't already be the end of our school year! It seems just like yesterday that our year began. Our littlest learners in kindergarten will soon be graduating and moving on to first grade and our 8th graders will be moving on to high school. Before you know it, your children will be in 8th grade and ready to leave Sonrise, or will they?

I say this because I am asking for your prayers. Over the past few years we have been diligent in praying for two big items: 1) A campus of our own and 2) An addition of a high school. We currently lease our site from Charter Oak Unified School District and our current payment is over $42,000/month and will increase to $44,000 next year. God has presented some opportunities before us that we are praying will take root and blossom into plans to fulfill both of our prayer requests in whatever ways that glorifies God and expands His kingdom. I am asking for your prayers more than ever and am hopeful God will hear our collective cry. When there are important details to share on actual decisions, I will always be transparent and share information with all of you in our Sonrise family.

Summer is a time of rest for many of us as it is for me but also filled with tremendous work to ensure next year is even better than the one we just finished. I could never wrap up a message without letting you know how much I dearly love your family and most especially children. Thank you for all you do for me.

I will miss you and will be praying for you over the summer.

Love and blessings, Mr. Patel
