Eagle Express Sonrise

Hello Sonrise family,

As we are now in the beginning of football season, I am reminded of similarities between the game and our lives. The first quarter of life is all about exploring the world. Everything is new and exciting! The second quarter brings changes with college or a first job.

Marriage and family are just around the corner in the third quarter. Then, suddenly it is the 4th quarter. The kids move out, marry, and start a family. And you find yourself thinking, where did the time go? I am in that stage now. But, what a great stage to be in! Each quarter brings a renewed sense of purpose and the mission of sharing the gospel becomes even more in focus.

We have all experienced "penalties, hail Mary passes, and touchdowns". Through it all, we know that we have God on our side; helping us navigate through the game we call life and to be used for His glory at any age. From the opening kick-off to the two-minute warning, God can do mighty things if we submit to Him.

2 Timothy 4:7 says, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

So, no matter what quarter you are in, embrace it with all that you are and who he created you to be, putting your trust in him along the way. Everything we do makes an impact. Let us make that impact for Christ and do our best to help win the game and finish the race well.

With Love,

Mrs. McCune
