As we begin a new school year, I’ve been thinking about how God often places us exactly where we need to be…even when the path there doesn’t look the way we expected.
As a mom, wife, and someone who helps support our family business, my days can feel like a constant balancing act. Adding a role at Sonrise wasn’t necessarily part of the plan I had written for myself. But God has a beautiful way of reminding us that His plans are bigger than ours.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5–6
Working at Sonrise has become more than a job to me. I get to serve in a place where my children are growing, where prayer is welcomed, and where we have the privilege of pointing students toward Christ in the ordinary moments of each day.
My prayer for this school year is that each of us…students, parents, teachers, and staff…remembers that we don’t have to have everything figured out. We simply have to be willing to follow where God leads, serve where He places us, and trust Him with what comes next.
I’m grateful He has placed me here, and I’m excited to see what He has planned for our Sonrise family this year.
