Valentines Day

In light of Valentine’s Day, a time when love is celebrated in so many ways, let's remember the greatest love of all: the love of God. He is the source of all love, and without Him, we cannot truly love others. This past Sunday, I was reminded that my love for others flows from my relationship with Him. When I show kindness, patience, and compassion, I am not only reflecting His love but also growing closer to Him. 1 John 4:11 reminds us of this truth: "Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another." I recently experienced this in a simple yet meaningful way. Last week, a friend was going through a tough time, and instead of brushing it off or assuming someone else would support them, I took the time to listen, encourage, and just be present. In that moment, I realized that loving God isn’t always about grand gestures; sometimes, it's found in the quiet, everyday choices to show up for others. But without God's love filling my own heart, I wouldn’t have the strength or patience to love others the way He calls me to. This weekend, let’s be intentional in how we love because our ability to love others comes from the greatest love of all, God’s love for us.

With Love, Ms. Aleman
