Sonrise Families,
For those of you who are new to us, I'm the person behind our social media accounts and the one you'll often see with a selfie stick, capturing the essence of Sonrise life. We made it through our first week of the new school year, and what a week it was! It felt chaotic and never-ending at times, but I know I'm not alone in that. As a mom to a kindergartener and 2nd grader, I couldn't help but look back on the memories of my little monsters playing on the preschool playground as if it were yesterday. It's hard to believe how quickly they've grown and in these moments, I have to remind myself to slow down and cherish these moments with them.
Our family unit is small - just the three of us - but it's filled with love, laughter, and sometimes, the feeling of needing to always be on the go. But in striving to support our family, I catch myself missing out on the small moments that truly matter; the cuddles, the laughs, and even the quiet times with God.
My goal this school year is to slow down and prioritize these little moments for my boys and for God. Whether it's riding our scooters and skateboards for five more minutes or waking up an extra 10 minutes earlier to spend more time with God in my morning devotions. I wish everyone a blessed school year and a gentle reminder; no matter how busy life gets, make space for the little moments.
With Love,
Miss Val
